Appeals Court Strikes Down Pittsburgh Buffer Zone Ordinance

Friday, a federal appeals court struck down a Pittsburgh ordinance that created two types of buffer zones around abortion clinics. The ordinance banned protesters from coming within 15 feet of entrances, and also prohibited them from coming within eight feet of people entering and exiting clinics within a 100-foot buffer zone around clinic entrances. The court ruled that either zone, separately, could be legal, but in combination violated the free speech rights of protesters.

I'm sorry to see this didn't get passed. I know so many of these protesters can be so mean & hurtful, making an already hard experience even worse! At the Operation Rescue website they call them sidewalk counselors, which I find completely ridiculous!! That is one scary group, with their Truth Trucks & proclaiming to be Christians, etc. & Troy Newman is a pretty scary guy, saying in his book that all Drs who perform abortions & all women who have them should be murdered! So, thanks for doing all that you're doing! Someone needs to. As I said, OR is really scary & needs to be watched/fought. Have a nice holiday!
